The Villa is situated on Nosy Komba (Komba Island), which is a twenty-minute boat ride from Helville (the biggest town on Nosy Be).

What makes Nosy Komba special? For one, there are no roads on the island.  That means no cars, no taxis, no buses, no motorbikes, no air pollution, no noise pollution, just peace and quiet.

The entirety of the island of Nosy Komba is occupied by a large, forested mountain, giving it the shape of a turtle shell when viewed from afar. There are eight coastal villages dotted around the island, separated by beaches with rocky outcrops. Villa King Komba is a ten-minute walk from one of the bigger villages (Ampangorina) where there are restaurants, bars, shops, and a market. In Ampangorina you can buy cold drinks, alcohol, curios, data for your phone, fruit and vegetables, and fresh baguettes.

Ampangorina is famous for its Lemur Park, where the lemurs will happily sit on your shoulder while you feed them bananas. From the Lemur Park you can follow one of the demarcated forest paths to the top of Komba Mountain (622 meters) where there is a restaurant serving freshly squeezed fruit juices.

All the way around Nosy Komba is a coral reef, so we recommend you bring goggles and snorkel. If you swim straight out from the beach in front of Villa King Komba you will see tropical fish and often turtles as well.
